The bit size was perfect but the sharpness left a lot to be desired.After 15 -20 minutes nothing but a lot of heat and smoke.Nothing more than a dimple on the sight base.Good thing I had two one overheated and broke the second got so hot it melted the light rod on the sight. I gave up these were horrible. Wood bit to drill through metal. I ruined the sight decided to cut my loses and ordered the pre drilled XS minamalist hopefully with better luck
