Dear TK Custom, The idea of having my 3 1/2 barreled Schofield machined to accept moon clips and fire .45 ACP rounds never occurred to me until I saw an online video where you had done it. I immediately called set to up the service. I sent in my cylinder and I was amazed that you completed the job and returned my cylinder in 9 days! Having my cylinder machined to accept moon clips and shoot .45 ACP ammo was the best thing I could have done. The Schofield is a very unique top break revolver made for calvary use in the 1870s. The work that TK Custom performed on my Schofield made this very old schooled revolver much more adaptable to modern day use. First on a practical side .45 ACP ammo is much more affordable than 45 LC and the capacity of the rounds are just about identical. Secondly, although the Schofield was designed to ease reloading issues for mounted troopers your machined modifications make ejecting and reloading much quicker and easier. The entire moon clip with all empty casings just fly out! One other thing I must add. I own several Schofields. Occasionally during the ejection process an empty shell casing will be left under the star on the ejection system. This totally slows down the ejection and reloading process.
