I have a 2 1/2 inch barrel model 686+, the seven shot version in L frame. The revolver is fine, but speed loaders are a bit clumsy to use. A friend of mine had the moon clip cut done on his revolver, so I decided to do it for mine. The turnaround was reasonable, the price I believe was fair, but the end product is truly outstanding. This revolver loads almost as fast as a semi auto, and even though it has a short ejector rod, the seven shot Moon clip assures that all cartridges come out in one unit. The only problem is now, I want to do some of my other revolvers.
