TK Custom Big Butt Hogue Grip

I recently purchased a S&W 627 Performance Center Revolver to use in USPSA Revolver Division. It came from the factory with 2 sets of grips (wood and rubber). I tried both sets and didn’t care for either of them so I ordered the TK Custom Big Butt grip after reading many 5 star reviews written by competition shooters. They are a fantastic grip with control and comfort (and good looks too). I really like shelf on the bottom of the grip that helps support my left hand when shooting fast.I will be ordering another one for my S&W 929.

The Big Butt TK Custom Rosewood Grip is perfect for the S&W Jerry Miculek Model 929 revolver. I have fairly large hands and the grip feels great. My buddy tried mine with smaller hands and it works for him too.

I recommend the TK Custom Extended Cylinder Release for Smith & Wesson K/L/N Revolvers to pair up with the grip.

Federal or Remington & others makes works the best with the .025 thick Full Moonclips, which fit all the .38/357 standard moonclip. They allow the cartridges to have some movement or wiggle so that they will fall right into the chambers once properly aligned. Winchester brass does not work at all as the groove width is too tight/small.

There is no SAAMI specifications for the extractor groove and each manufacturer makes them as they want. The following list gives you a great example. This is why the diameter size of the brass is critical to proper loading, unloading and fitment. Cartridge diameter too big and moonclip too small causes the moonclip to bend. The cartridge should rotate within their respective place and wobble slightly when all cartridges are loaded.
