Extended firing pin and spring

After installing a reduced hammer spring and rebound spring on my J frame, I started having occasional light primer strikes. Nothing excessive about 1 in 100 shots.
After installing TK Customs extended firing pin and spring, I have had no more missfires!

This was an extremely easy install. It took about 15 minutes total.
I am extremely pleased! Prior to this I also installed the lock delete plug. It is a perfect fit and looks great!

The latest one that I just ordered will be the 4th one that I will have installed. 3 N-Frames and an L-Frame, all of which could ignite the crankiest primers reliably after the upgrade. Very useful after the great primer shortage of the past few years, when you had to buy whatever primers you could find if you wanted to satisfy your re-loading bug.

Federal or Remington & others makes works the best with the .025 thick Full Moonclips, which fit all the .38/357 standard moonclip. They allow the cartridges to have some movement or wiggle so that they will fall right into the chambers once properly aligned. Winchester brass does not work at all as the groove width is too tight/small.

There is no SAAMI specifications for the extractor groove and each manufacturer makes them as they want. The following list gives you a great example. This is why the diameter size of the brass is critical to proper loading, unloading and fitment. Cartridge diameter too big and moonclip too small causes the moonclip to bend. The cartridge should rotate within their respective place and wobble slightly when all cartridges are loaded.
