Taking my time and being methodical, removing the necessary parts, cleaning as I went and putting the plug in really is not that difficult. I am surprised that the circlip did not click in place in the plug's groove. I haven't fired it yet but I'm hopeful that that's how it's supposed to be and that there won't be any issues of it coming apart.
For as small and unremarkable as the part is, I am disappointed at the price point being double what I'd feel comfortable with. Knowing the potential issues that the locking mechanism presents and having a concern with the pistol's esthetics with that gaping hole, I was compelled to pull the trigger... so to speak. It does look nice but I am irritated that I had to pay double what I think it's worth.
