Had my 454 Alaskan cylinder adapted for use with .45 ACP. Makes practice much cheaper and so far accuracy has been great with basic FMJ and HP .45 ACP ammo and some higher-pressure .45 Colt WC and SWC. The moon clips are very high quality and I’ve been able to use them without a loading/unloading tool due to their design; still on the first one after hundreds of rounds through it and no discernible tensioning issues.
Overall this is a great conversion that pays for itself fairly quickly. Personal-protection ammo in .45 Colt is hard to find, underperforms out of shorter barrels and is usually fairly expensive, so this also opens other possible ammo choices you’d otherwise need to hand load for.
