K6xs Revolver spring kit & Firing Pin

This kit did what I wanted it to do by lowering the trigger pull and smoothing up the action. This was a revolver with less than 50 rounds through it and had the expected friction of steel parts in an aluminum frame. While installing the kit I lubed key points with lithium grease and the total effect is a good action that will be further improved by live and dry fire training.

This kit is very nice and the video makes installation easy. The hardest part was putting the plunger back in with the small pin. A vice or friend could help

The normal pull around 12lbs is good and smooth but noticeably heavy which impacts my grouping

The new kit brings it down to a very reasonable 8lbs everyone that I have let shoot the gun comments on the pull. Highly recommended

Federal or Remington & others makes works the best with the .025 thick Full Moonclips, which fit all the .38/357 standard moonclip. They allow the cartridges to have some movement or wiggle so that they will fall right into the chambers once properly aligned. Winchester brass does not work at all as the groove width is too tight/small.

There is no SAAMI specifications for the extractor groove and each manufacturer makes them as they want. The following list gives you a great example. This is why the diameter size of the brass is critical to proper loading, unloading and fitment. Cartridge diameter too big and moonclip too small causes the moonclip to bend. The cartridge should rotate within their respective place and wobble slightly when all cartridges are loaded.
