Easy Installation and works well!!

I own a gunsmithing business and had a customer bring in a S&W Airweight for tuning and a trigger job. When I went to order the needed springs, I came across TK Custom and found their package with the elongated firing pin. Ordered the package and it was a quick and easy installation. Will buy more of these kits when needed.

Gun doesn't fire

I replaced the springs and the extended firing pin for my 43c. The gun only fires 25% of the time. The gun seems to function fine, but its having super light hammer strikes is my diagnosis. I haven't tried the other main spring included with the kit but I will soon. If it don't fire...then back to factory springs and firing pin. It's also possible I did something wrong but like I said. Gun seems to cycle and work fine. Just won't go bang most trigger pulls.

Federal or Remington & others makes works the best with the .025 thick Full Moonclips, which fit all the .38/357 standard moonclip. They allow the cartridges to have some movement or wiggle so that they will fall right into the chambers once properly aligned. Winchester brass does not work at all as the groove width is too tight/small.

There is no SAAMI specifications for the extractor groove and each manufacturer makes them as they want. The following list gives you a great example. This is why the diameter size of the brass is critical to proper loading, unloading and fitment. Cartridge diameter too big and moonclip too small causes the moonclip to bend. The cartridge should rotate within their respective place and wobble slightly when all cartridges are loaded.
