Changing to this or any other options by TKCustom is an excellent decision. It is nicely shaped, SOLID. When I first installed it, it was tight and hard to cycle the cylinder release. I removed it and reinstalled it, it was much smoother and more positive. I am planning several other upgrades for my "N" frame. This is well designed and well made, so much better than OEM.

Great finish and part quality. Makes actuating the cylinder release much easier for both strong and weak hand reloads. Just the right extension length for medium-large hands to use the release as a comfortable thumb index if using a webbing-over-frame grip. If you're an action shooter and/or doing regular reload practice in dryfire, a drop of blue loctite will keep it from backing off during long sessions.

As a left handed shooter, this part has been extremely helpful with reloading. I had an issue with the original part I received and it was quickly rectified. The customer service was absolutely amazing and very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend this part and company, excellent all around.

Federal or Remington & others makes works the best with the .025 thick Full Moonclips, which fit all the .38/357 standard moonclip. They allow the cartridges to have some movement or wiggle so that they will fall right into the chambers once properly aligned. Winchester brass does not work at all as the groove width is too tight/small.

There is no SAAMI specifications for the extractor groove and each manufacturer makes them as they want. The following list gives you a great example. This is why the diameter size of the brass is critical to proper loading, unloading and fitment. Cartridge diameter too big and moonclip too small causes the moonclip to bend. The cartridge should rotate within their respective place and wobble slightly when all cartridges are loaded.
