Current S&W triggers are MIM, or metal injection molded, which is fine for general use but not the most durable or consistent surface for a tuned action. The TK Custom Speed Trigger is machined from hardened tool steel, with a design much closer to S&W's older forged steel triggers that a lot of shooters still consider the gold standard. The result is a harder, smoother, more durable trigger that holds up to a high round count and a finely tuned action.

Why the material matters: on a tuned action, the trigger's engagement surfaces do precise, repeated work, and a harder steel holds that geometry longer than a MIM part. Choose Your Trigger Pin Diameter

S&W uses two different trigger pin diameters, and the Speed Trigger you order needs to match the pin in your revolver. Check the list below or measure your pin, then select the matching option above.

• Standard Trigger Pin (.100"): this is what most S&W K, L, N, and X frame revolvers use.
• Combat Trigger Pin (.125"): used on a smaller number of models, listed below.

Drift out the trigger pin, measure the diameter, and match it to the two sizes above: a .100" pin takes the Standard Trigger Pin option, a .125" pin takes the Combat Trigger Pin option.
