This IS the comp

I wanted a compensator for my v-comp as the one from the factory is honestly just for looks with the small expansion chamber and slits for ports. It is just not an effective design. I purchased this comp with high hopes and have been blown away. The fit and finish is top notch. It mates up to the barrel and shroud seamlessly and even works with my current speed beez holster. The expansion chamber and ports are what an actual comp should have and in use, it makes my 357 full power loads feel like a 38. I cannot recommend enough.

I ordeed a Revo-Gear compensator for a S&W 627 V-Comp. The part came quickly and was exactly as described. It is very finely machined and fits the gun perfectly. Federal or Remington & others makes works the best with the .025 thick Full Moonclips, which fit all the .38/357 standard moonclip. They allow the cartridges to have some movement or wiggle so that they will fall right into the chambers once properly aligned. Winchester brass does not work at all as the groove width is too tight/small.

There is no SAAMI specifications for the extractor groove and each manufacturer makes them as they want. The following list gives you a great example. This is why the diameter size of the brass is critical to proper loading, unloading and fitment. Cartridge diameter too big and moonclip too small causes the moonclip to bend. The cartridge should rotate within their respective place and wobble slightly when all cartridges are loaded.
