A lighter, smoother double-action pull for your S&W centerfire revolver, without giving up reliable ignition. A factory K/L/N double-action pull runs about 13 pounds. With this kit installed, most shooters land around 9 pounds with any brand of primer, and with Federal primers only you can tune as low as 6.5 pounds. Kits can come with extra rebound and main springs so you can tune the trigger to your ammo. That makes a real difference on a long string of double-action fire, whether you are shooting a match or just want a trigger that is easier to run well.
Important: this kit includes the firing pin and springs as a matched set, designed and tested to install together.

A note on primers: the lowest pull weights are reliable with Federal primers, which have a softer cup. Other brands at the lightest spring settings will likely cause light strikes. If you run another brand, plan to keep a little more weight.

Federal or Remington & others makes works the best with the .025 thick Full Moonclips, which fit all the .38/357 standard moonclip. They allow the cartridges to have some movement or wiggle so that they will fall right into the chambers once properly aligned. Winchester brass does not work at all as the groove width is too tight/small.

There is no SAAMI specifications for the extractor groove and each manufacturer makes them as they want. The following list gives you a great example. This is why the diameter size of the brass is critical to proper loading, unloading and fitment. Cartridge diameter too big and moonclip too small causes the moonclip to bend. The cartridge should rotate within their respective place and wobble slightly when all cartridges are loaded.
