A lighter, smoother double-action pull for S&W J-frame centerfire revolvers, with the extended firing pin included so ignition stays reliable at the lighter weight. The small J-frame has a heavy factory pull for its size, and taking weight out of the double-action makes it much easier to shoot well, whether for carry practice or range use.
Pull weights: factory stock trigger about 13 lb. With this kit installed, around 9 lb with any brand of primer. Federal primers only can tune as low as 6.5 lb. Kits can come with extra rebound and main springs to tune the trigger to your ammo.
Important: the firing pin and springs are a matched set, designed and tested to install together.
What is in the kit: a reduced power spring set that lightens and smooths the double-action pull, plus the extended firing pin that keeps ignition reliable once the hammer is hitting softer. On a small carry revolver, a lighter pull you can actually control is one of the biggest improvements you can make to how you shoot it.

Federal or Remington & others makes works the best with the .025 thick Full Moonclips, which fit all the .38/357 standard moonclip. They allow the cartridges to have some movement or wiggle so that they will fall right into the chambers once properly aligned. Winchester brass does not work at all as the groove width is too tight/small.

There is no SAAMI specifications for the extractor groove and each manufacturer makes them as they want. The following list gives you a great example. This is why the diameter size of the brass is critical to proper loading, unloading and fitment. Cartridge diameter too big and moonclip too small causes the moonclip to bend. The cartridge should rotate within their respective place and wobble slightly when all cartridges are loaded.
