Replaced the factory sight on a S&W 929 with a Hi Viz. Easier to consistently get on target in USPSA and ICORE.

This sight improved my aim so much. I have a 686+ that currently serves me well, but acquiring a decent sight picture using the standard red ramp and stock target sight was very difficult. As soon as I bought this fiber optic, I sent it to a gunsmith to put on since I didn't have the proper tools to install it.
In dim light conditions, the advantage of the fiber optic diminish, but it truly shines in well-lit conditions.
Do yourselves a favor and buy one for yourself.

The sight itself is awesome. Changed out the element without issue. The service from TK was great! Of all the things I’ve done on all the firearms I’ve worked on, this was the absolute worst job I’ve ever taken on. Smith and Wesson should be embarrassed of their design. Ridiculous. Have you changed sights on a dove tailed Sig? How ‘bout a Glock. Ever put a complete Volquartsen trigger in a Ruger Mark III? Man those springs are tiny and the sear has to be just right. This job is worse. Unless you have the patience of a saint, a gun vice, and a drill press for that matter, don’t try it. Mine came out great, but I don’t think I’d ever want to do it again. Buy this sight, from TK, pay the money to mail the gun to a smith, and just chalk up the hundreds of dollars it will probably cost you with shipping to a shit design.

Federal or Remington & others makes works the best with the .025 thick Full Moonclips, which fit all the .38/357 standard moonclip. They allow the cartridges to have some movement or wiggle so that they will fall right into the chambers once properly aligned. Winchester brass does not work at all as the groove width is too tight/small.

There is no SAAMI specifications for the extractor groove and each manufacturer makes them as they want. The following list gives you a great example. This is why the diameter size of the brass is critical to proper loading, unloading and fitment. Cartridge diameter too big and moonclip too small causes the moonclip to bend. The cartridge should rotate within their respective place and wobble slightly when all cartridges are loaded.
